Here we are, the "Caffi Gruff" race team. A group of Welsh riders known to Me (owner Gruff Lewis), a group of riders that all carry a love for cycling and that wish to aspire their racing.
In 2016 when I was a full time professional I decided to coach riders in my spare time, this has progressed to a large part of my livelihood. Racing cyclists often want to progress, meaning moving to a team where they can be seen shining.

You could say that these opportunities have been hard to come by in the area of Aberystwyth.
Even though the small town has seen 4 riders progress through to the professional ranks recently - Dafydd Dylan, Gruffudd Lewis (Wiv Sungod), Stevie Williams (Israel), Josh Tarling (INEOS). This has been down to local support, a good Family and determination. Not so much a development programme that can be used as a channel to the broader British scene.
I had a good handful of riders that I was coaching seeking to be part of something more structured, that would have like minded individuals there to help each other in their journeys to fulfillness.

I knew I could help, I knew I had a key that could unlock their potential, and more than that, keep them believing. That "keep believing" is a moto we have #CADWIGREDU that can be seen on all riders jerseys.
They are a great bunch of lads, honest and hard working, we have already created great memories. Caffi Gruff RT can't wait to get on the start line in 2023 to create some more.
